My business idea grew out of a frustration with only ever seeing the same ugly, polyester sleeping bags that people throw away after a few uses. I wanted to create something long-lasting and beautiful enough to be seen and used every day. Enter Sleeping Beauties... I created the company just over a year ago and actually ran a Kickstarter at concept stage which unfortunately didn’t reach its target. Since then I’ve got fantastic feedback from customers and clients across the UK and beyond, I’ve racked up considerable sales and really proved there’s demand for this unique product. Now I’m ready to take the business to the next level but need financial help to expand my product range and make more of my double sleeping bags. 

My beautifully printed double sleeping bags are 100% cotton and are machine washable at 30 degrees with hollow fibre filling inside. They have been tried and tested for warmth and durability at many UK festivals and are perfect for spring/summer time. They come with 2 x matching pillowcases. Last year I was able to make a small order with my factory in India and – thanks to regular sales and enquiries from people worldwide - I have nearly sold out. Also, I would like to expand my range with hand-painted camping mugs (my prototypes have proved popular on Instagram) as well as throws and scatter cushions (as requested by glamping sites). 

My small business has already successfully manufactured single sleeping bags and also a trial order of double sleeping bags out of India. Everything has already been designed, first range delivered (plus sold through my website) and new prototypes made. 

While I originally focussed on the ‘young female festival-goer’, my target customer has expanded to include couples, campervan owners, students, mums buying for their kids’ sleepovers and outdoorsy men and women of all ages. Over the last few years, glamping (including glamping weddings) and festival-going has proved increasingly popular across Europe, America and Australia, and there are so many families looking for great products to make their experiences feel special.

Manufacturing takes around 3 months so I really need your financial help to set things in motion so my new double designs, camping mugs and throws are ready for this year's summer camping and festival season!
